Alliant Holds Super Bowl Chili Day for Bears Care Charity 02/17/2012 On February 2nd Alliant Credit Union held a Super Bowl Chili Day in honor of the big game and to raise money for Bears Care, a 501c3 charity established by the Chicago Bears. The event was held at Alliant headquarters, located in Chicago at Touhy Ave. and Wolf Rd. near O'Hare Airport, and at the credit union's 2nd headquarters at 1600 Golf Road, Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Nearly $5,000 is being donated to Bears Care, including contributions by Alliant employees and a matching grant from Alliant Credit Union Foundation. Employees donated for a festive chili and hot dog lunch, a big prize drawing and to compete for prizes in a carnival style quarterback toss contest. Raffle and contest prizes included Bears memorabilia, VISA gift cards and more. All food and prizes were donated by Alliant, Bears Care and other sources, which enabled all donations to go directly to Bears Care. The event featured the appearance of former Chicago Bears all pro offensive lineman James "Big Cat" Williams. He sampled homemade recipes as a judge in the Chili Chef Cook-off, posed for pictures and signed autographs for admiring employees.
