Are joint owners or beneficiaries allowed on certificates?

Yes, you can have both joint owners or beneficiaries on your Alliant Certificate. To add a joint owner or beneficiary to your certificate account, print and complete an Account Ownership Delete/Add form or Beneficiary Delete/Add form.

If the certificate is established for a minor, it is highly recommended that you add a joint owner to the account. Joint owners and beneficiaries on certificates may be different from the joint owners or beneficiaries on your share account. However, for IRA certificates, the beneficiaries currently listed on the IRA account are used for the certificate as well. A joint owner of one or more beneficiaries cannot be added to a certificate over the phone.
