NerdWallet Recognizes Alliant for its commitment to consumer banking

Chicago, IL May 25, 2014 – Alliant Credit Union, of Chicago, IL, has been recognized by personal finance website NerdWallet for its consumer-friendly products and services. Alliant Credit Union was a top credit union in the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Pacific, and Southeast regions for NerdWallet’s Consumer Banking Index.

NerdWallet’s Consumer Banking Index assesses banks and credit unions based on 7 criteria: Free Checking, High-Yield Savings, Free Online Bill Pay, ATM Access, Branch Access, Mobile Access, and Member Service.

These criteria were selected by a survey of 1,000 U.S. adults as key considerations when choosing a financial institution. Spring 2014 marks second semi-annual release of this index and includes 150 of the nation’s largest banks and credit unions.
