Alliant Credit Union Employees and Foundation Assist United Airlines “Fantasy Flights”

01/12/2012

Alliant Credit Union employee volunteers and Alliant Credit Union Foundation provided assistance to charity related Fantasy Flights held during December at major airports across the country. The United Airlines Fantasy Flights, coordinated by employees of the airline, provided a joyous holiday experience for many seriously ill or disadvantaged children and people with disabilities.

Fantasy Flights at various airports were actual flights or taxiway trips to "the North Pole", with passengers disembarking for visits with Santa, great gifts, a festive lunch and other holiday activities. Alliant employees decorated United Airlines North Pole departure and arrival gates or helped in other ways at several major airports from coast to coast. Fantasy Flights in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Newark, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, DC received Alliant Credit Union Foundation grants totaling $12,000 ($1,500 for each of these eight events).
